Safety Update 10.19.23

October 19, 2023Greetings all,

I wanted to update you all on what’s happening in the Safety and Compliance department. First and foremost, I am excited to announce that Joe Scott has joined me in the compliance department. You may have already seen him out and about in locations or spoke to him on the phone gathering information on our rolling stock or delivering new vehicle tags. He also is going to be taking point in assisting our drivers with Samsara software, which will be replacing Razor tracking. Welcome to compliance, Joe!

I will be out in the field the next two weeks training on bloodborne pathogens. Over the course of the next few months, there will be updated Emergency Action plans rolled out for each location. Training will be provided on the material they contain, as well as updates.

I appreciate the location managers’ diligence with scheduling staff to receive these mandatory trainings, as well as taking an active role in weekly safety talks with their employee group. These efforts, no matter how small they may seem to some, have a large and positive impact on developing a safety positive culture and mindset.

Tours of locations will continue to ensure our employees are working in healthy and safe environments. Scheduling will be provided to each manager as the date is set.
